This little girl's mom contacted me to schedule a milestone session for her daughter. She had a photo of her older daughter the same age and she was looking for a children photographer in CT who could capture her toddler's emotions through candid, not posed photography.
I have had a lot of experience with children sessions, especially children this age, because I have been specializing in candid children portraits in Danbury and Ridgefield area for quite some time.
I have a selection of dresses for little ones age newborn to one and this particular dress was perfect for little Lauren.
Her mom told me her little princess session would be very difficult because this little baby girl hates the camera and never smiles. She told me she tries to take professional photos of her but never knows how to get her little children to really look at the camera at smile.
The secret is this. Never ask your child to smile. Try to interact with them and show them something that they will enjoy but always have your camera ready.
This is why many parents wonder how to find a good children photographer who is good with kids and is able to capture their natural, true emotions.
It is not easy but if you find a professional photographer specializing in children, who has kids on their own, you typically find a good one.
The parents of this little toddler told me that they have finally found a photographer that is able to make their little Lauren to smile.
I was very happy to hear that because I thought this children session in Ridgefield went really well also.
